In his employment practice, he advises and represents employers in a wide range of workplace disputes and employment-related needs. Michael works closely with companies to defend against EEOC charges and related litigation. He also serves as a day‑to‑day advisor to employers, providing guidance on workplace decisions and regulatory compliance, including internal policies, employee discipline and corrective actions, as well as leave and accommodation requests. Michael also advises companies on hiring and termination decisions and assists in drafting employment and separation agreements for employees at all levels, from C-suite executives to hourly personnel.
Michael’s counsel extends to supporting businesses with their immigration needs. He helps employers bring talent to the United States by securing work authorization through visas or permanent residency sponsorships, identifying the best path based on each client’s circumstances. His experience includes preparing and filing green card applications — particularly within the PERM process and categories such as EB‑1A and EB‑1C — as well as handling employment‑based visas such as the H‑1B, L, E, and O classifications. In addition to preparing petitions, Michael advises employers on immigration compliance, including work authorization requirements, I‑9 compliance, and internal I‑9 audits.
Michael's practice is strengthened by his prior experience as an accounts manager for a global provider of human resources management software and services. His previous business experience also includes serving as an area manager in sales and marketing for a food group in South Carolina.
