In Charlotte, four Parker Poe attorneys were named "Lawyer of the Year," including two for at least the third straight year.
John Beyer was voted the top attorney in the defense of medical malpractice law. He was voted the top attorney in health care litigation last year and in the defense of personal injury litigation the year before. John leads Parker Poe’s Professional Negligence & Product Liability Defense Group and has deep experience representing hospitals, physicians, and other professionals.
Chip Holmes was named "Lawyer of the Year" for insurance law. It is the sixth straight year Chip has been voted the top attorney in a practice area related to insurance or litigation. He has more than 20 years of experience defending businesses and professionals in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation.
Rick Glaser was named the top attorney for health care litigation. A former First Assistant and Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney, Rick established and currently leads Parker Poe’s Government Investigations & White Collar Group. His clients include public and private corporations, including in the health care industry.
Stacy Wood was named "Lawyer of the Year" for arbitration. Stacy has been defending employers successfully for more than 25 years, with a focus on discrimination, harassment, and ERISA litigation. She is a problem solver for manufacturing businesses and service providers of all sizes, in addition to private colleges, universities, and K-12 schools.
Raleigh, North Carolina
In Raleigh, two Parker Poe attorneys were named "Lawyer of the Year."
Henry Campen was voted the top attorney for energy law. Clients rely on Henry to help navigate the complex web of state, local, and federal permits needed to develop renewable energy projects. His practice is focused on development of wind, solar, and biomass power plants.
Todd Rubin was named "Lawyer of the Year" for immigration law. Todd has practiced immigration law exclusively for more than 25 years. He concentrates in the area of business visas and employment-based immigration for U.S. and multinational corporations, universities, nonprofit research organizations, and hospitals.
Greenville, South Carolina
In the Greenville/Spartanburg area, two Parker Poe attorneys were voted by their peers as the "Lawyer of the Year."
Tyler Smith was voted the top attorney for public finance law. Tyler has worked with public and private sector clients across the U.S. He has chaired and presented at numerous national conferences on finance, derivatives, and LIBOR transition issues, and he has served on the National Association of Bond Lawyers’ board. In addition, Tyler focuses a significant part of his practice on the New Markets Tax Credit and Opportunity Zone programs.
Tim St. Clair was named "Lawyer of the Year" for intellectual property litigation. Tim leads Parker Poe's Intellectual Property Group. He is a registered patent attorney who focuses exclusively on the protection, commercialization, and litigation of intellectual property. He represents clients nationally and internationally.
